Summer blankets protect your horse during chillier summer days. Summer blankets are airy and breathable so your horse won't get too hot. A summer blanket is also great for keeping your horse clean before a competition or for use during transport.
The guidelines for the use of a summer blanket are that above 15 degrees a blanket is not necessary. Between 10 and 15 degrees, a blanket of 0 grams is sufficient. These are guidelines for unshaved horses. Of course, every horse is different and one horse gets cold faster than the other.

What is the right size for your horse?
Bucas recommends the following:
Measure your horse from (A) the center of the chest over the shoulder to the farthest part of the buttock (B). Once you have measured your horse, choose the size that is closest to the size of the horse (A-B).
